I Hope She Doesn’t Scratch

The cat’s there again. She’s wild, but not wild wild. She’s cautious when I approach but not too fearful. A quick sniff confirms that she has no home. I realize that’s why she’s here. She’s seen me down here, she knows I have people. A home. I move in for another sniff, another look. I can’t bring just anyone home, my humans wouldn’t like it. I paw her a little to see how she’ll react. She seems friendly enough. I paw at her some more to see if she’s playful. She seems okay. I let her follow me home.
